Price increase

Explanation of changes to our variable credit tariff

All affected customers should note that White Rose Energy’s dual fuel variable credit tariff (also called ‘fluid’) will be increasing on the 22nd of April 2017. Since their launch in September 2015 White Rose Energy’s partner – Robin Hood Energy – have kept their prices as low as possible in order to support customers, especially those at risk of fuel poverty. Unfortunately, a considerable rise in wholesale energy costs over recent times has made purchasing gas and electricity a lot more expensive. With regret, this has reduced our ability to keep prices as low as we’d like them to be and as such, we have been forced to change them.

  • The average White Rose Energy ‘fluid’ (variable) tariff is increasing by approximately 14% for dual fuel credit customers.

Although the price increase has been kept as low as possible to minimise the impact on our customers, the change is significant and therefore, we’d recommend that customers switch to our fixed rate deal, where the costs are much lower and there are no exit fees should you choose to switch away from us at a later date.
